Built-in Effort Tracking Streamlines Resource Allocation and Budgeting for Users of Allegro CTMS@Site

MADISON, Wis., today announced that  -- The summer release of Allegro CTMS@Site, from Forte Research Systems, Inc., is full of new features that allow sites to operate more dynamically and efficiently.  The clinical trial management system has added new calendar options for managing staff time and expanded report choices to add value to the user experience.  In addition, the summer release includes the much-anticipated feature of staff effort tracking.

Many sites that begin to track staff time find that they grossly underestimate the number of hours their staff are spending on various activities.  This can lead to lower profit margins when sites fail to charge for the actual time worked.

The new functionality in Allegro CTMS@Site can help solve this problem by allowing the site to track the staff time involved on any number of clinical trials, based on user-defined categories.  Additionally, the staff management calendar feature grants selected site staff the opportunity to view schedules of other staff members from within the CTMS, leading to more skillful management of daily activities.  Armed with the knowledge of how much time is spent on the different activities, sites can better plan for future studies, as well as gain greater negotiating power with their sponsors and vendors.

The overall efficiency of a site can also improve with the staff effort reports.  Knowing how much time is spent on certain activities can help organizations create more effective workflows and improve time management. By having insight into where sites can improve, they can enhance their own operations and success.
