Every day there is a new institute coming up with a Clinical Research Training course. The existing ones expand their operations to other metros.
With three new institutes which I came to know in the last two of days, I wonder if any one get a statistics on the number of institutes offering clinical research courses rather than the statistics on the number of clinical research professionals required by the industry.
I found one such statistics and here it is:
40 - Number of clinical research training institutes in India.
5,000 - Number of trained professionals that these institutes produce annually.
11,000 - Number of trained professionals needed per year currently.
50,000 - Number of trained professionals required by the year 2010.
Will I confuse the readers by leaving the quote from Aaron Levenstein "Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital."
Well, I may not ;)
